Managing and Creating Products Using Dashboard and Point-of-Sale System

How to Add or Create a New Product



Using the Dashboard:



Step 1: Select Products from the menu management section.



Step 2: Click on the + New Products button.



Step 3: Fill in the required information and click Save.

Note: Ai is used to generate your Menu Name and product description.

1a. Name*
1b. Menu name* - Enter the menu name where the products will be assigned.
1c. Price * - Enter a product price, if Product Variation is toggled off.
1d. Product Image - Add a product image
1e. Display Name - Enter the product name that you want to display on the menu, you can name the same as the product name based on how you want to reflect
1f. Printer Name - Enter a product name that will be shown on the printers/kitchen printers. It can be the same as the product name or can create a custom product name
1g. Assigned printer - Select a printer / assign a printer where you want the product to be routed
1h. Category - Select the sub-category where the product will be assigned
1i. Product Description - Enter a product description to be displayed on all platforms
1j. Prep Time (in mins) - Enter a prep Time
1k. Active - The active button will set the product to be active at the point of sale. You can toggle it off to hide the product
1l. OrderOS Active - If toggled on, This will set the product to be active on your online storefront.
1m. 86 this product? - If 86 this product is enabled, it will make the product temporarily unavailable to the point of sale
1n. 86 this product in OrderOS? - If 86 this product is enables, it will remove the product from your online storefront.
1o. Product Variation - The product variation will enable inventory tracking and enable you to add variant details


Product Info Field

1p. Ingredients - Select the ingredients assigned to the product
1q. Groups - Select the modifier group and modifiers associated with the products
1r. Taxes - Select the preferred taxes to be applied.
1s. Discounts - Select the preferred discounts to be applied.

Step 4: You can also add multiple products by importing the menu items created using the menu Excel template.

4a. To add products in bulk, tap the 3-dot icon next to the New Product button.



4b. Import the file from your saved location and tap the Upload button.



4c. If managing multiple locations, select the applicable location to apply the menu.

4d. Tap Done to save the menu.

How to create products at your Point of Sale

Using the Point-of-Sale (POS) System:



Step 1: From your new order screen tap the drop-down arrow (1a) or slide the setting bar down (1b):

Step 2: Tap on Menu Management

Step 3: On the left-hand navbar tap on Products

Step 4: Tap on Add

Step 5: Enter the required information:

a. Product Name
b. Menu Name - the name of the product that will appear on the menu.
c. Assigned Printers - Select printer for product routing (if applicable)
d. Printer Name - the name of the product that will appear on the printer.
e. Categories - Select the applicable subcategories – the product will be applied to the selected subcategory.
f. Modifier Groups - Select the applicable modifier group (modifiers or addons) the product will be applied to the selected modifier group.
g. Product Description - Enter a short description of the product. Max of 1000 characters
h. Add to menu - If enabled, the product will be added to the menu.
i. 86 this product
j. Inventory Tracking - If enabled, it will allow you to manage your daily product count.
k. Negative Inventory - Enable if you want to allow the product to mark as out of stock.
l. Variant Name
m. SKU - Number code to track the product price.
n. Price - Product/variant amount
o. Timed Price - Configure if applicable.
p. Ingredients - Select the applicable default/removable ingredients.
q. Taxes - Select the applicable taxes.
r. Discounts - Select applicable discount to add at the product level.





Step 6: Tap X and changes will be saved automatically.


Editing and Deleting Products:



Step 1: From Menu Management, navigate to the Products sub-tab.

Step 2: Select a product from the list.

Step 3: Edit: Modify product details and tap X changes will be saved automatically.

Step 4: Delete: Scroll down and tap on Archive to archive the product.
