# Dashboard Hardware Setup

With the eatOS dashboard hardware section, you'll have the power to oversee every device connected to your point of sale in one easy-to-manage view. Track their statuses and performance levels in real time, granting yourself unprecedented authority over all aspects of your business. 

Navigate to the hardware section of your eatOS dashboard, where you can efficiently configure and customize your device and set up a customized solution for your individual needs.

### How to add new hardware

**Step 1:** Navigate the **Hardware** section.

**Step 2:** Tap **“New Hardware”** or **“+New Hardware”**

**Step 3:** Select the device you want to configure and enter your device information.

### How to edit and delete a device

**a.** To edit and archive hardware. Tap the pencil icon under the date section and edit the necessary information.

**b.** To discard or archive a device. Click the same icon before tapping the archive. Confirm your decision with yes, archive it, or opt out with cancel for cancellation.

### How to unarchive and permanently delete a device

**Step 1:** To unarchive, select the **“Archive”** tab.

**Step 2:** Click the 3-dot icon, and select **“Unarchive”**

* Tap **“Yes, unarchived it!”** to reactivate and tap **“Cancel”** to remain on the archive

 To permanently delete, select the **“Archive”** tab, click the 3-dot icon, and select **“Permanently Delete”**

* Tap **“Yes, permanently delete it!”** to confirm or tap **“Cancel”** to go back to the archive
