# How to add Adyen Card Reader into Your Dashboard


### Introduction

This article outlines the steps required to successfully add your new card reader to the eatOS dashboard, enabling you to start processing payments efficiently.

**Adding a New Card reader from the hardware list **

1. Log in to the [eatOS dashboard.](https://dashboard.eatos.com/)

2. On the Left-Hand side, click on **Hardware**

3. Next, click on **+New Hardware**

4. Select **Card Reader**

5. Enter the required information:

|| Note: For the name, we recommend you use an abbreviation connected to your restaurant name, followed by the device type, and entering the last 4 digits of the SN. Look at the image below for reference

* **Name**
* **Subtype** - (Select Adyen)
* **POIID** - The format should look as follows (P400Plus-DEVICE SN)

6. Lastly click on **Add** to save your changes

Once you have successfully added the card reader to the dashboard, log in to the POS system and navigate to the settings to ensure that the newly added card reader is selected.
