# How to Build and Edit Service Areas

Let's explore the simple yet powerful tools that eatOS provides to help you effortlessly build and edit service areas for a more streamlined and customer-centric dining environment.

### Navigating to your Service Area

**Step 1:** Navigate to your **Service Area** by navigating to the left side navigation bar and tapping on **Restaurant**

**Step 2:** On your **Restaurant Settings** select **Service Area**

### Adding a Service Area

To add a new **Service Area** follow these steps:

**Step 1:** Click on **“+ New Floor”** and enter the required information.

**1a.** Enter the floor name.
**1b.** Enter floor number.
**1c.** Tap **ADD** to save the new floor.

**Step 2:** Creating a new **Service Area** from scratch

**2a.** Create a new **Service Area** by tapping on the **Add New Service Area** button

**2b.** You also have the option to select from pre-created service area templates, choose to use the eatOS AI, or start from scratch to create your **Service Area**, select **Create a Service Area from Scratch** by tapping on **Start Now**

**2c.** Create the service area on the blank canvas

**i.** Tap on **Tables**
 
**ii.** **Select the preferred table shape**

**iii.** Fill out and select the needed information, such as the **Table Name,** the **Table Orientation** ( **Clockwise** or **Counterclockwise** ), and the **Number of Seats**

**iv.** Tap **Add** to add the table and seat

**v. Add Dividers** - Add dividers according to your restaurant service area.
**vi. Tap Dividers** - To draw a line on the canvas

**vii. Add text** - To add text, tap the **Text** button, you can also edit the text color, and font size according to your liking
