# Managing Default Modifiers in Your POS System

**Understanding Default Modifiers?**

Default modifiers are preset customization options designed to enhance menu item flexibility and elevate the dining experience. They can include standard options or unique exceptions, offering customers a wide range of choices.

**Steps to Add Default Modifiers:**

 
1. From the new order screen, slide down the settings menu.

2. Select the **Menu** option.

3. Tap on **Default Modifiers.**

4. Tap the **+ Add** button

a. Add the **default modifier**
    
b. Select the appropriate **default modifier category**

**How to edit a default modifier**

* **Select Item:** Choose and tap the default modifier you wish to edit.
* **Edit Details:** The Edit Default Modifiers will appear, allowing you to make the necessary changes.

**How to Archive a Default Modifier**

1. **Choose Modifier:** Select the default modifier you wish to archive.
    
2. **Archive:** Slide to reveal the archive button and tap the "Archive" button to complete the process.
