# Menu Management - Price Category

### Overview

Price Category management allows you to efficiently organize and optimize pricing for your offerings. By using Price Categories, you can ensure uniformity and streamline the financial aspects of your menu items.


### Accessing Price Category Management

1. Navigate to Menu Management: Locate the **"Menu Management"** section on the sidebar.

2. Select Price Category: Click on **"Price Category"** from the list under Menu Management.

### Creating a New Price Category

1. Click on the **"+ New Price Category"** button on the Price Category page.

2. **Enter Price Category Details**

* **Price Category Name:** Enter a unique name for your price category.
* **Price:** Specify the price associated with this category.

**Sample Price Category:**

| Price Category Name | Lunch Special |
| Price | $ 9.99 |

|| Note: The **"Lunch Special"** category can be applied to items intended for daily lunch offerings, making it easy to manage promotions and streamline pricing during lunch hours.

3. **Save the Price Category**

* Once all information is filled in, click the **"Save"** button to add your new Price Category.


### Managing Price Categories

* **Active:** View and manage all currently active price categories.
* **Archived:** Access any archived categories for review or reactivation.
