# Viewing the Taxed Itemized Sales Report

The Taxed Itemized Sales report provides a detailed breakdown of sales by category and product, including the quantity sold, sales amount, tax collected, and total sales for a selected date and time range. This report is useful for reviewing taxable sales, validating tax collections, and analyzing product performance.


### How to Access the Report

1. From the left navigation menu, go to **Analytics & Reports.**
2. Select **Product Sales**.
3. Click the **Tax Itemized Sales** tab.

### Filter the Report

At the top of the page, use the available filters to customize the report.

* **Date Range** - Select the start and end dates.
* **Time Range** - Filter sales within a specific time period.

### Report Summary

The summary section displays overall sales information for the selected period.

| Field | Description |
| ---- |
| Sales | Total sales amount before tax. |
| Tax on Sales | Total tax collected on all taxable sales. |
| Total Sales | Combined sales amount including tax. |

### Category Breakdown

Each product category is displayed in its own expandable section.

For every category, the following totals are shown:

* **Qty** - Total quantity of items sold.
* **Sales** - Total sales amount before tax.
* **Tax on Sales** - Total tax collected for the category.
* **Total Sales** - Total sales including tax.

### Product Details

Within each category, products are itemized with the following information:

| Column | Description |
| ---- |
| Product Code | Unique identifier assigned to the product. |
| Product Name | Name of the product sold. |
| Qty | Number of units sold. |
| Sales | Sales value before tax. |
| Tax on Sales | Tax collected for the product. |
| Total Sales | Total value including tax. |

A Category Total row appears at the bottom of each category, summarizing all products within that category.


### Expand or Collapse Categories

Each category includes and expands/collapse icon on the right side of the header.
* **Expanded** - Displays all products within the category.
* **Collapsed** - Hides the product details while retaining the category summary.

This allows you to focus on specific categories without scrolling through the entire report.


### Export the Report

To download the report:

1. Click the **Export** button in the upper-right corner.
2. Select your preferred export format,

### Example Use Cases

Use the Taxed Itemized Sales report to:

* Verify taxable sales by product
* Review tax collected for accounting purposes.
* Compare product performance within each category.
* Reconcile daily or periodic sales reports.
