Automating End of Day Tasks in Your POS System
The End of Day feature in your Point of Sale (POS) system allows you to efficiently manage daily closure tasks. This guide will walk you through the setup process to automate closing procedures, ensuring accurate records and seamless transitions to the next business day.
Accessing End of Day Settings
- Tap or swipe on the navigation bar of your POS system to open the Settings screen.
- In the Settings menu, select General to access the general configuration options.
- Tap on the "End of Day" option to open the configuration screen.

End of Day Features
- Start End of Day: Begin the end-of-day process by clicking "Start End of Day." This initiates automated tasks to wrap up daily operations.
- End-of-Day Device: Designate the primary device for end-of-day operations.
- End-of-Day Reminder: toggle the reminder on or off. Set a specific time (default is 10 minutes after closing) to receive a prompt.

- **End of Day Tasks: **Activate the "End of Day Tasks" toggle to initiate automatic tasks, ensuring a smooth conclusion to your business day at the schedule time.
- Automatic End of Day: Enable automated end-of-day tasks to trigger at a pre-determined time, ensuring tasks are completed even if forgotten.

Starting End of Day
- Overview Metrics
- View key metrics such as: Total Number of Labor Hours, Total Number of Orders Today, and Today's Sales
- Tasks to Complete: Check off essential tasks before completing the end of day:
- Unpaid Checks: Review and resolve any unpaid checks.
- Open Checks: Ensure all checks are closed.
- Clocked In Employees: Confirm all employees are clocked out
- Cash Drawer Activity: Verify all cash drawer activities are reconciled.
- Click "Close Restaurant" to finalize the end-of-day process, confirming all tasks are completed.

Automatic Task Configuration
- Clock Out Employees: Automatically clock out employees at the end of their shift.
- Close Drawer: Ensure cash drawers are settled and closed.
- Print EOD Receipt Report: Generate and print an end-of-day receipt report.
- Print Employee Data on Sale Summary Receipt: Optionally include employee data on the sales summary.
- Close Paid Orders: Verify all paid orders are closed.
- Cancel Unpaid Tickets: Automatically cancel any unpaid tickets to maintain accurate records.
- Send Daily Operation Reports: Set up automatic sending of daily operation reports to select employees.
