Cash Management in Your POS System


Overview


Cash Management is a vital aspect of your Point of Sale (POS) system, designed to optimize the handling of cash flows, liquidity, and investments. This feature ensures streamlined and reliable financial operations, enhancing your business's cash handling accuracy.


Accessing Cash Management


  1. On your POS settings, select the Payments option

  1. From the Payments menu, tap on Cash Management to view available options related to cash handling.


Key Features:


  • Cash Register - Select the cash register to view.


Balances and Cash Flow



  • Previous Day’s Closing Balance: Displays the closing balance from the previous day’s transactions.
  • Estimated Cash in Drawer: Provides an estimate of the cash currently in the drawer.
  • Opening Till Balance: Enter the opening balance at the start of your shift to track cash flow accurately.


Transactions


  • Pay In / Pay Out: Manage cash entries and exits. Record cash taken in for sales or paid out for expenses.


Options include:


  • Pay In: Add cash to the drawer.
  • Pay Out: Remove cash for expenses to deposits.
  • Open Till Balance: View the current cash balance.
  • Close: Securely close the till at the end of a shift or day.


Cash Logs


  • Select Date: Review cash transactions by selecting a specific date. Provides a log of time, reason, and cash flow activities.


Employee Tips


  • Cash Tips and Non-Cash Tips: Monitor tips received by employees, categorized under cash and non-cash options.


By utilizing the cash management features, you can ensure accurate and efficient cash operations within your POS system, providing reliability and transparency in your financial processes.
