How to Close a Checks (Ticket)

Effectively managing and closing tickets is essential for maintaining precise records and seamless operations in a restaurant environment. The Point of Sale (POS) system offers several flexible and user-friendly options for closing tickets, catering to staff preferences. In this guide, we'll explore two main methods for closing tickets: from the Tickets section and via the End-of-Day section.



Method 1: Closing a Check from the Tickets Section


  1. Navigate to the Tickets Section


  • From the main navigation pane on the left, click on "Tickets" option. This will display all active and open tickets.


  1. Select the Ticket


  • Browse through the list of tickets to find the one you wish to close. Click on the specific ticket to open its details.


  1. Close the Ticket


  • With the ticket details displayed on the right, find the "Close" button at the bottom of the detail pane and click it to mark the ticket as closed.




Method 2: Closing Tickets via the End of Day section


  1. Navigate to the End of Day section


  • In the main navigation pane on the left, scroll down and select the "End of Day" option. This section is typically used to finalize daily operations and close outstanding tickets. Tap the "Start" button to proceed.


  1. Select Open Checks


  • The End of Day dashboard provides an overview of things to do, including handling unpaid and open checks.
  • Click on the “Open Checks” item, which will show a list of all open tickets.



  1. Close the Ticket


  • Browse through the list of open checks and select the ticket you wish to close.
  • The ticket details will appear on the right side of the screen, similar to how they appear in the Tickets section.
  • Click the "Close" button at the bottom of the ticket detail pane.



  1. Finalize End of Day Activities


  • After closing the necessary tickets, you can proceed to finalize other end-of-day activities, such as closing the cash register or logging out employees.
  • Click the "Close Restaurant" button at the bottom of the End of Day dashboard to complete the process.
