How to Manage the Point-of-Sale Menu

Introduction


This guide offers detailed instructions for accessing and managing Point of Sale (POS) menu settings.


Accessing the Menu Settings


  1. From the new order screen, slide the settings bar down, select Menu.



  1. Select Menu on the Menu Management section.



  1. In the menu section, you'll find a brief detail of the current menus, including:


  • Menu Name
  • Status (active or inactive)
  • Start Date
  • End Date



Adding a New Menu


  1. To add a new menu, tap the plus icon located within the menu section.



  1. Enter Menu Details:


  • Menu Name: Enter the desired name for the menu.
  • Activate Menu: Toggle the active status for applicable apps (e.g., Point of Sale, Kiosk, OrderOS)




  1. Set Operational Times:


  • Dates and Days: Choose start and end dates and applicable days.
  • Time Settings: Set start and end times.
  • Next Day Option: Toggle if operations extend past midnight.
  • Copy Settings: Use the copy button to apply settings to all days.



  1. Organize Categories:


  • Select Categories: Choose appropriate categories for the menu items.
  • Organize Categories: Arrange categories as needed for efficient operation.
  • Revenue Center: Assign menus to specific revenue centers.



Additional Features


  1. Edit Menus
  • Tap on the menu you wish to edit. This will open a detailed view of the menu.
  • Make necessary changes such as adjusting menu items, changing days or times, and updating other relevant details.


  1. Archiving Menus


  • Slide the menu entry across the screen to reveal the archive button.
  • Tap the archive button to remove the menu. It will be moved to the archive section. This action will store the menu for potential future reference without deleting it entirely.



By following these steps, you can manage your POS menus effectively, ensuring your offerings remain current and organized.
