Step 1: Begin by navigating to your new order screen. To do this, tap the drop-down arrow marked as (a) or slide down the settings bar as indicated by (b).
Step 2: Next, tap on the Advanced.
Step 3: Select the "Cash Register" option from the Hardware menu to proceed with cash register management.
Managing Existing Cash Registers
Upon entering the 'Cash Register menu, users can view and administer the settings of already connected registers. The critical aspects seen on this interface include:
Active Cash Registers: Each register listed is marked as active or inactive, discernible by a checkmark. For instance, eO-JL is shown as the active device, while eO-Demo is inactive.
Device Name: This column lists the names assigned to each connected cash register. Assigning unique and meaningful names helps in easily identifying different registers within the network.
Device Type: Here, the type of device is specified (e.g., “STAR CASH DRAWER - USB” or “PAX REGISTER”), which indicates the model and connection type of each register.
Serial Number: The unique serial number of each cash register is also displayed, aiding in precise identification and troubleshooting if necessary.
Adding and Detecting New Cash Registers
When a new cash register needs to be added to the system, follow these steps:
Detection: Click the ‘Detect’ button to initiate a search for available cash registers within the network. This function simplifies the identification and pairing process.
Manual Addition: If the register isn't automatically detected, you can manually add it by clicking the plus (+) button. This opens the ‘**Add New Cash Register’** interface where essential information is entered.
Configuring a New Cash Register
In the 'Add New Cash Register' screen, users need to provide relevant details:
Name: Enter a name for the new register, which helps in identifying it within the system. Unique and descriptive names facilitate easy differentiation from other devices.
Drawer Model: Select the specific model of the cash register drawer. Choosing the correct model ensures compatibility and optimal performance.
After providing the necessary details, confirm and save the new configuration. Once added, ensure the new register is tested to verify its operational status.
Note: Alternatively, you can tap on the Detect option to locate nearby cash registers. Select your designated cash register from the list to complete the process.
