Point of Sale - Payment - Reports

Step 1: From your new order screen tap the drop-down arrow (a) or slide the setting bar down (b):



Step 2: Tap on Payments



Step 3: On the left hand navbar tap on Reports.



Step 4: Reports can be viewed with the following information

a. Custom date range to view sales summary - This feature allows users to select a specific date range to analyze sales data, providing flexibility in accessing sales information based on custom time intervals.
b. Number of orders - Total number of orders within the date range: This represents the count of all orders processed within the selected date range, offering insight into the volume of transactions during that period.
Number of refunds - Total number of Refunds issued within the date range: This indicates the total count of refunds issued within the selected date range, helping to monitor the frequency of refund transactions.
Refund - Total refund issued: This figure represents the total of all refunds issued within the selected date range, providing clarity on the amount of money returned to customers.
Net Sales - Total sales within the date range less applied taxes, surcharges, and tips: This represents the total revenue generated from sales within the selected date range, after deducting taxes, surcharges, and tips, providing a clear picture of the actual revenue earned.
Discount - Total applied discount: This figure represents the total value of discounts applied to orders within the selected date range, aiding in understanding the impact of discounting on overall sales performance.
Tips - Total Tips received: This indicates the total amount of tips received from customers within the selected date range, offering insights into additional revenue earned from gratuities.
Tax - Total applied tax: This represents the total of all taxes applied to orders within the selected date range, helping to monitor tax liabilities and compliance with tax regulations.
Total - This figure represents the overall total of all transactions, including sales, refunds, discounts, tips, and taxes, within the selected date range, offering a comprehensive view of financial performance.



Step 5: View Sales Summary by:

a. Payment Type = Cash/Card - This refers to the method of payment used for transactions, distinguishing between cash and card payments.
b. Number of Transactions = This indicates the total count of transactions conducted for each payment type, providing insights into the volume of cash and card transactions separately.
c. Total Amount - This represents the total of all transactions, regardless of the payment type, offering a comprehensive view of the revenue generated within a specified period.



Step 6: View Sales Summary by:

a. Category - This option allows you to analyze sales data categorized by product categories or classifications, providing insights into the performance of different product groups.
b. Number of Products - Here, you can view the total count of products sold within a specified period, aiding in inventory management and identifying top-selling items.
c. Net Sales - This represents the total sales revenue after deducting returns, discounts, and allowances, providing a clear picture of the actual revenue generated by the business.
