Point Of Sale Table Management
Overview
The Point of Sale (POS) system's Table Management interface allows restaurant staff to efficiently manage seating, reservations, and table statuses to optimize customer service. The following guide provides a breakdown of the key elements and functionalities available in the Table Management interface.
Main Screen
- Date and Time Display: Located at the top-left, this shows the current date and service area. Navigate dates using the arrows.
- Table Layout: Displays the status of each table. Tables are labeled with numbers and have different colors to indicate their status:
Ordering: Indicates that customers have placed or are placing an order.
Ordered: Order has been placed.
Available: The table is ready for new customers.

Status Indicators
Waitlist: Displays customers waiting for a table.
Reservations: Lists upcoming reservations.
Seated: Shows currently occupied tables.
Problem: Alerts for tables with issues.
Finished: Lists tables where the dining experience is complete, and it's ready for turnover.

Managing Walk-ins
Seat Walk-In
- Select Table: Click on an available table.
- Party Size: Choose the number of guests (1-5).
- New Guest: Add the guest's details as needed.
- Confirm: Click "Go To New Order" to confirm seating and begin the order process.

Managing Reservations
Create Reservation
- Open Reservation: Click on the available table.
- Enter Details: Fill in guest name, number, date, time, and party size.
- Save: Confirm by clicking the checkmark

Managing Table Blocks
Block Table
- Select Table: Click on the table to be blocked.
- Block Option: Choose "Block Table".
- Add Note: Provide a reason for blocking the table.
- Confirm: Press "Confirm Block" to finalize the block status.

Best Practices
- Regularly update table statuses to reflect the current situation.
- Keep track of reservations and waitlists to avoid overbooking.
- Respond to problem alerts promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
