In the 'Paired Printers' screen, users can view and adjust all connected printer settings. Key elements in this interface include:

Default KOT Printer Model: This setting is for specifying the printer used for Kitchen Order Tickets (KOT). If a device is paired, the corresponding printer model is displayed here. In the given example, no device is connected.

Default Bill/Receipt Printer: This field indicates the printer assigned for billing and receipt generation. Ensuring a printer is paired here is essential for seamless checkout operations. As depicted, no device is connected currently.

Default Custom Item Printer: Use this setting for designating a printer for custom item printing tasks. Like the previous settings, it shows if a printer is connected or not. In this scenario, no device is connected.

Pairing a Printer

To pair a new printer or detect an existing one, use the 'DETECT' button. This function scans for available printers within the network and allows you to select the appropriate device for pairing.

Testing Printer Connections

After pairing a printer, it is paramount to test the connection to confirm that it functions correctly. Utilize the 'TEST' button to perform a print test, ensuring that the printer is configured accurately and ready for operational use.

Note: The test print function specifically applies to receipts. Once you've selected the default Bill/Receipt printer model, you can initiate a test print to preview the bill and receipt templates. This confirms the successful connection of your printer. For testing kitchen tickets, simply create a test order and send it to your kitchen.

Conclusion:

Effective management of paired printers ensures that businesses can handle printing needs efficiently, from order tickets in kitchens to billing at the checkout counters. By following the steps outlined above, administrators can navigate through the hardware settings, pair printers, and perform necessary configurations seamlessly. Maintaining well-configured and operational printers within your hardware setup fosters a reliable and productive business environment.
