Point of Sale - Payment Discount

Introduction:

Creating discounts within your Point-of-Sale system is a breeze when you follow these straightforward steps. This guide simplifies the process, ensuring you swiftly set up discounts, and optimize your sales experience.

How to Create a Discount on Point of Sale:



Step 1: Accessing Settings: From the new order screen, initiate the process by tapping the drop-down arrow marked as (a) or slide down the setting bar labeled as (b) to access settings.



Step 2: Navigating to Discounts: Tap on "Payments" to proceed to the Payment Tab. From there, on the left-hand navigation bar, select "Discount."



Step 3: On the left-hand navbar tap on Discount



Step 4: Adding a Discount: Within the Discount section, tap on "ADD" to start configuring your discount.



Step 5: Entering Details: Fill in the required information marked with an asterisk (*):

a. Discount Name * - This is where you input the name or title of the discount, providing a clear identifier for the discount offer.

b. Select the type of discount - percentage or amount. - This option allows you to specify whether the discount will be a percentage of the total purchase or a fixed amount deducted from the total.

c. Choose applicable products for the discount, either specific items or all items - Here, you can designate which products are eligible for the discount, whether it applies to selected items or all items in the inventory.

d. Enable or disable PIN requirement - if enabled, employees need a PIN to apply for discounts. - This setting determines whether employees are required to input a personal identification number (PIN) to apply the discount, enhancing security and control over discount usage.

e. Schedule the discount's duration - This feature enables you to set the start and end dates for the discount, defining its duration and ensuring it is applied only within the specified time frame.



Step 6: Lastly, schedule duration for your promotion discounts

If configure schedule discount availability is enabled, you will select.

a. Selecting the start and end dates. - This allows you to choose the specific dates when the discount will become active and when it will expire, providing control for the discount offer.

b. Choosing the time of availability. - This option enables you to specify the times of day when the discount will be available for use, allowing for flexibility in scheduling discount periods.

c. Specifying the applicable days. - Here, you can designate which days of the week the discount will be valid, ensuring it is applied only on the selected days according to your business needs.

Saving Configuration: Once all details and schedules are set, tap "SAVE" to activate and configure the discount schedule.



Step 7: To apply a discount to a product, simply tap on the Discount Icon followed by selecting the type of discount.
