Products Overview
Product Information: Displays each product's name and basic details.
Price: The cost associated with each product.
Variants: Options available for each product.
Quantity (Qty): Stock level of the product (currently set to 0).
Status: Toggle to activate or deactivate a product.
OrderOS Status: Indicates the availability within the order management system.
Date Created: Shows when the product was added to the system.
Operations:
Adding New Products: Use the "+ New Product" button to input new items and define their details
Filtering: Use the "Select Category" dropdown to filter and view specific types of products
Best Practices:
Regularly update product information, especially prices and availability
Ensure quantities are accurate to prevent out-of-stock issues.
Clearly define and update variants to ensure the correct options are available for customers
How to Add or Create a New Product
Using the Dashboard:
Step 1: Navigate to the menu management section and select "Products."
Step 2: Click on the + New Product button.
Step 3: Enter product details and click Save.
Note: Ai is used to generate your Menu Name and product description.
Enter product details:
1a. Name: Type the name of the product
1b. Menu Name: Choose the name as it should appear on the menu.
1c. Price: Set the price of the product.
1d. Product Image: Upload an image in JPG or PNG format (500x500px recommended).
Additional Information
2a. Display Name: Set a display name, if different from the product name.
2b. Printer Name: List the printer for order tickets, if necessary.
2c. Assigned Printer: Select the appropriate printer from the dropdown. If the preferred printer is not available, tap the plus (+) icon to add a printer.
2d. Category: Choose a category for the product. If the category is not listed, tap the plus (+) icon to add a new category.
2e. Schedule: Select when the product is available.
Product Description
3a. Calories: Enter calorie information, if applicable.
3b. Description: Provide a brief description of the product.
3c. Prep Time: Include preparation time in minutes.
Activation and Settings
4a. Active: Toggle to activate the product for sale.
4b. OrderOS Active: Toggle to make the product available in the order system.
4c. 86 this product?: Toggle if the product is temporarily unavailable.
4d. 86 this product in OrderOS?: Toggle if the product is temporarily unavailable.
Product Variants Management: In this section, you can manage the different variants of your product by specifying key details such as name, SKU, inventory, threshold, and price. This helps in organizing and tracking product variations efficiently.
5a. Product Variation: Toggle this option if the product has multiple variants. Enabling it will display the inventory tracking settings. You can toggle inventory tracking on or off to manage stock levels.

Modifiers, Groups, Tax, and Discounts:
6a. Default Modifiers: Add any necessary modifiers.
6b. Groups/Add-Ons: Include relevant groups or add-ons.
6c. Tax: Specify the tax applicable.
6d. Discounts: Add applicable discounts.
Tap the "Save" button once completed
Step 4: You can also add multiple products by importing the menu items created using the menu Excel template.
4a. To add products in bulk, tap the 3-dot icon next to the New Product button.
4b. Import the file from your saved location and tap the Upload button.
4c. If managing multiple locations, select the applicable location to apply the menu.
4d. Tap Done to save the menu.

How to create products at your Point of Sale
This article will guide you through the process of creating products and incorporating them into your point of sale. Written in an easy-to-follow manner.

Using the Point-of-Sale (POS) System:
Step 1: From your new order screen tap the drop-down arrow ( 1a) or slide the setting bar down ( 1b):
Step 2: Tap on Menu Management
Step 3: On the Menu Management section, select "Products"
Step 4: Tap on Add
Step 5: Enter the required information:
a. Product Name
b. Menu Name - the name of the product that will appear on the menu.
c. Assigned Printers - Select printer for product routing (if applicable)
d. Printer Name - the name of the product that will appear on the printer.
e. Categories - Select the applicable subcategories – the product will be applied to the selected subcategory.
f. Modifier Groups - Select the applicable modifier group (modifiers or addons) the product will be applied to the selected modifier group.
g. Product Description - Enter a short description of the product. Max of 1000 characters
h. Add to menu - If enabled, the product will be added to the menu.
i. 86 this product
j. Inventory Tracking - If enabled, it will allow you to manage your daily product count.
k. Negative Inventory - Enable if you want to allow the product to be marked as out of stock.
l. Variant Name
m. SKU - Number code to track the product price.
n. Price - Product/variant amount
o. Timed Price - Configure if applicable.
p. Ingredients - Select the applicable default/removable ingredients.
q. Taxes - Select the applicable taxes.
r. Discounts - Select applicable discount to add at the product level.
Editing and Deleting Products:
Step 1: From Menu Management, navigate to the Products sub-tab.
Step 2: Select a product from the list.
Step 3: Edit: Modify product details and tap the back to saved automatically.
Step 4: To archive a product, tap the archive button, and confirm. The product will be moved to the archive.
