How to Create and Manage Discounts

Step 1: Access the Discount Section on your eatOS dashboard navigate to the left side navigation bar and tap on Menu Management



Step 2: To get started, on to the Menu Management section tap on the Discount option.



Step 3: Create a New Discount by tapping on the + New Discount button to begin creating a new discount.



Step 4: Enter Details

Fill in the required information for your discount. Here's a breakdown of the information you need to provide:

1. Discount Name* Name of the discount i.e., Employee discount, Promotional discount, Happy hour
2. Discount Value* Value or amount of the discount to be applied.
3. Discount Type* If calculating the discount in percentage, select % Percentage. If calculating the discount in amount, select $ Dollar.
4. Discount Dates* Select the start and end date.
5. Discount Applicable on* Select the applicable days: ALL - the discount will apply to all days of the week. Weekdays - the discount will apply only on weekdays. Weekends - the discount will apply only on weekends. Or simply tap on the days preferred to apply the discount.
6. Require PIN? If enabled, it will require an employee to enter a PIN to apply a discount to the transaction.
7. Apply auto discount? If enabled, set a duration for the discount to be available.
8. Applicable productsSelect the applicable products to the discount.


Note: Please do make sure to fill out all the fields that have an asterisk (*) as it is mandatory for the discount to be saved


Step 5: Saving the Discount

After filling out the needed information navigate to the bottom of the screen and tap on Save to keep the changes and enable the discount. And if you decide to not proceed with the discount tap on the Cancel button.




How to Add or Create a Discount - POS





Step 1: On your Point Of Sale (POS) New Order Screen tap or slide down the Menu arrow



Step 2: On the Menu section tap on Payment



Step 3: Navigate and tap on Discounts



Step 4: Tap on + Add to create a new discount



4a. Enter the preferred discount name.
4b. Enter the preferred discount amount and select whether the discount is an amount or in percentage.
4c. Tap on Applicable product



i. Select the products preferred for the discount to be applied to or tap on the Check Icon to apply it to all products.



4e. Enable or Disable the Require Pin



4f. Enable or Disable the Configure Scheduled Discount Availability



If Configure Scheduled Discount Availability is enabled

i. Toggle on or off the Automatically Schedule This Discount
ii. Select the start date and end date of the discount.
iii. Select the start time and end time of the discount.
iv. Select the discount availability days.

4g. Tap on the Save button to keep the changes
