Menu Management on Dashboard and POS
Introduction
In this session, you'll learn how to connect and manage menus seamlessly between our Dashboard and Point of Sale (POS) system. This ensures consistent menu offerings and streamlines operations across all platforms.

Navigating Menus
From the main dashboard, click on Menu Management.
Select Menu from the list on the left.
Dashboard Menu Page Overview:
Tabs: Switch between Active and Archived menus to manage current and past offerings.
Add New Menu: Click the "+ New Menu" button to create new menu items.
Timing Settings: Set the timing for each menu, such as the Bakery Menu, to be active from March 18, 2022, to March 18, 2035.
Status Toggle: Easily switch menus on or off based on current needs.
Point of Sale Menus Page Overview:
Tabs: Switch between Live and Archived menus to manage current and past offerings.
Add Menu: Click the "+ ADD" button to create new menu items.
Status: Easily toggle menus on or off using the status switch.
Timing: Set and review each menu's Start and End Dates, ensuring they are available at the right times.
Best Practices:
Keep menu timings and items updated to reflect current availability.
Archived menus not in use but may be needed later
Understand the synchronization between the dashboard and POS menus.
Ensure any changes made on the dashboard are reflected in the POS menu
Regularly check both systems to maintain alignment.
Adding or Creating New Menus on the Dashboard
Step 1: Select Menus in the menu management section.
Step 2: Tap “+ New Menus" and select from the following options to add your menu and tap Continue.
2a. Upload a menu from your device using compatible formats:
i. Choose the "Upload from your device" option.
ii. Tap on Continue.
iii. Navigate to the file's location on your device and tap Upload.
iv. Select the appropriate location and tap Done to save the changes.
2b. Create menu manually.
i. Tap continue.
ii. Enter the required information and tap the Save button to save the menu.

Button Color* | Set the button color, the selected color here will reflect on your point-of-sale device |
Active* | The active button allows you to keep the menu active. Select the no button to hide the menu |
Parent Category | Select the parent category associated with the menu |
Location(s) | Select the location for this menu to be available |
Applicable to the menu(s) | Select the platform for this menu to be available. All menu(s) – the menu will be available to all platforms including POS, KIOSK, POP, and Online Ordering |
Availability | Menu date - select the applicable start and end date of the menu |
Schedule days: Select the applicable days and set the start and end times |
2c. Create a menu using AI
i. Choose the "Create a menu using AI" option.
ii. Select the desired cuisine for the menu.
iii. Enter the name of the menu.
iv. Tap "Submit" to initiate the menu creation process by the AI.
2d. Import from a third-party menu like DoorDash, Grubhub, and Uber Eats
i. Tap Continue
ii. Select the desired third-party platform to import from and tap Next.
iii. Enter the URL associated with the menu.
iv. Enter the name of the imported menu.
v. Select the appropriate location.
vi. Tap Continue to proceed. You will receive a notification once the menu has been successfully created.

Navigating Menus on the Point of Sale
Step 1: From your new order screen tap the drop-down arrow ( 1a) or slide the setting bar down ( 1b):
Step 2: Tap on Menu Management
Step 3: In the "Menu Management" section, select "Menu" to be directed to the menu page
How to Add a Menu on Point of Sale
Tap the + Add Button to add a new menu.
Add Menu section shown below
Menu Name: Allows the user to enter and edit the name of the menu.
Keep Menu Active for POS: A toggle to activate or deactivate the menu for the Point of Sale system.
Keep Menu Active for POP: A similar toggle to control the menu's activation for Point of Purchase systems.
Keep Menu Active for KIOSK: Controls menu availability on self-service kiosks.
Keep Menu Active for Order-OS: Manages the menu for online ordering systems.
Categories: Options to add or manage categories within the menu.
Organize Categories: Provides tools for organizing categories within the menu.
Revenue Centers: Tracks and manages revenue centers associated with the menu items.
Set Up the Menu Details
Enter the menu name: Click on the "Enter Name" field and type the desired name for the new menu.
Activate for POS: If you want this menu to be available on the Point-of-Sale system, toggle the "Keep Menu Active for POS" switch to the ON position.
Define Availability Dates
- Set Start Date: Click on "Choose" next to the Start Date Field and select the desired start date from the calendar that appears
- Set End Date: Click on "Choose" next to the Start Date Field and select the desired end date from the calendar that appears
Set the Days available: Check the box next to the day (e.g., Monday, Tuesday, etc.)
Configure Timing: Click on the "Start Time" field and set the opening hours. Then Click on the "End Time" field and set the closing hours
Next Day: Toggle the next day feature if applicable.
Copy Button: Use the copy button to apply the same time settings.
Pro Tip: To apply the same hours of operation on the applicable days of the week, simply tap on the icon located on the right of the end time field. Upon selection, it will prompt you to select all or set as required.
Additional Settings
Select the applicable categories
Organize: organize your menu items into appropriate categories
Revenue Centers: Assign relevant revenue centers for better tracking and analysis.
How to edit or archive an existing Menu
From Menu Management, tap on the Menu and proceed by selecting a menu from the list available
Edit Menu - to edit, simply tap the desired menu and apply changes
Archive Menu - Select the menu you wish to archive and tap the archive button.
The following illustration shows how the menu items position in your Point of Sale after you have configured your POS menu section.
