This guide explores managing default modifiers effectively in a Point-of-Sale system.

What Are Default Modifiers?

Default modifiers are predefined customization options for menu items that enhance flexibility and improve the dining experience. These modifiers can be standard options or special exceptions that offer customers additional choices.

How to add Default Modifiers:

From the new order screen, slide down the settings menu.


Select Menu.



Select Default Modifiers.


Tap the + Add button


Enter the default modifier name

Select the default modifier type

When done, tap X. Changes will be saved automatically.


How to edit a default modifier

To edit, simply select and tap the item you wish to edit, and the edit pop-up will appear. You can either make your edits or tap the archive button to delete the selected item.


How to Archive a Default Modifier

Select the default modifier you wish to archive

Tap the archive button


The system will prompt for confirmation, tap the archive button to confirm, or tap X to go back without archiving the item
