Point of Sale - Payment Discount

Introduction:

Creating discounts within your Point-of-Sale system is a breeze when you follow these straightforward steps. This guide simplifies the process, ensuring you swiftly set up discounts, and optimize your sales experience.


How to Create a Discount on Point of Sale:



Step 1: Accessing Settings: From the new order screen, initiate the process by tapping the drop-down arrow marked as (a) or slide down the setting bar labeled as (b) to access settings.



Step 2: Navigating to Discounts: Tap on "Payments" to proceed to the Payment Tab. This will direct you to various payment-related settings.



Step 3: In the Payments menu, click on the "Discounts" option to view and manage discount settings.



Step 4: In the Discounts screen, you might see some pre-configured discounts listed. To add a new discount, click on the + Add button.



Step 5: Fill in the required information marked with an asterisk (*):

a. Name - Enter an appropriate name for the discount (e.g., "Summer Sale").

b. Discount - Specify the discount amount which can be in percentage or fixed amount.

c. Discount Type - Choose whether the discount is a percentage or a fixed amount.

d. Applicable Products - Under Applicable Products, choose which products this discount will apply to by clicking Select Product.



e. Require Manager PIN - Toggle the option for Require Manager PIN if the discount application should need manager approval.



f. Schedule the discount's duration - This feature enables you to set the start and end dates for the discount, defining its duration and ensuring it is applied only within the specified time frame.



If the discount should be available only for a certain period:



Toggle Configure Scheduled Discount Availability.
Automatically Schedule this discount?: Toggle this if you want the discount to be applied automatically during the specified period.
Select Date and Time: Set the start and end dates and times for the discount.
Days: Choose the specific days when the discount should be available.

Once you have completed entering all the details, the information will be saved automatically.
