Category Information:
Category Name: Shows the name of each category (e.g., "Appetizers," "Bakery").
Parent Category: Indicates the parent category, if applicable, for better organization.

How to add or create new categories
Creating New Categories
Using the Dashboard:
Follow these steps to add a new category using the dashboard:
Step 1: Log in to your dashboard.
Step 2: Navigate to the "Menu Management" section.
Step 3: Select Categories
Step 4: Click on the "+ New Category" option.
Step 5: Fill in the required information, such as:
a. Category Image - Upload an image to visually represent the category.
b. Category Color - Select a color to visually distinguish this category.
c. Category Name* - Enter a name for the category.
d. Category Position - Define the order in which the category appears on the menu.
e. Parent Category - Select a parent category for hierarchical organization, if applicable.
f. Schedule Set availability based on time or date.
g. Groups (Modifier/Add-Ons) - Assign relevant groups for enhanced customization.
h. Product Name List the products included in this category.
i. Status - Check the availability of each product.
j. Action - Use to modify or update products within the category.
Step 6: Tap Save the changes.
Editing and Archiving Existing Categories
Here's how to edit a category in your Dashboard:
Step 1: Log in to your dashboard.
Step 2: Go to "Menu Management" and select "Categories."
Step 3: Choose the category you wish to edit.
Step 4: Hover over Date Created column and tap on the Edit/Pencil Icon.
Step 5: Begin to make any necessary changes to your category as needed.
Note: Your changes will be saved automatically
Here's how to Archive a category in your dashboard
Step 1: Hover over the Category name and click the archive icon.
Step 2: Next, you will be presented with a prompt.
Step 3: Click on Yes, Archive it! to archive the category, or click on Cancel to stop any changes.

How to Add a New Category
Step 1: From your new order screen tap the drop-down arrow ( 1a) or slide the setting bar down ( 1b):
Step2: Tap on Menu Management
Step 3: On the menu management section tap on Categories
Step 4: Tap the + Add button to add new category
Step 5: Enter the required information:
5a. Category Name
5b. Course Name
5c. Category Position
5d. Course Position
5e. Enter the menu name (how the category will be displayed on the screen)
5f. Assigned Printer (Select a designated printer)
5g. Parent Category (Select the parent category i.e., Food (Parent category) Sandwiches (Subcategory))
5h. Products (Select products that will be applied to the subcategory)
Step 6: Tap on back and changes will be saved automatically.
Modifying Categories via Point-of-Sale:
Here's how to make changes to a category using the POS system:
Step 1: Open the Point-of-Sale application.
Step 2: Access the "Menu Management" section and select "Categories."
Step 3: Simply tap the category you want to modify.
Note: Changes made to a category will be saved automatically
Step 5: You can also choose to archive the category using the "Archive" icon.
