Adding Tip to a Paid Check

Introduction



This guide simplifies adding and adjusting tips in your restaurant's point of sale. Learn how to handle tips directly on your POS and through the eatOS dashboard, ensuring smooth operations and fair compensation for your team.


Streamlining Tip Management



Step 1: Navigate to the Tickets section on the main screen of your POS using the left-side navigation bar.



Step 2: Select the Order Ticket to which you want to add a tip.

Note: Ensure that the ticket is not closed to edit the tip on the POS. You can add or adjust a tip on a paid or closed check any time during the same business day using the eatOS dashboard.



Step 3: Slide the total PAID button to the left.

Step 4: Tap on "Add Tip" (if no tip has been added yet) or "Edit Tip"(if there is an existing tip amount).



Step 5: Enter the Tip Amount and tap the "X" icon to save the changes.



Note: This feature is only available before closing a check. If a check is closed, the manager can be requested to edit the tip via the dashboard.

To add or adjust tips after batch, please refer to the "How to Add or Edit a Tip on Dashboard" guide. Note that a manager's PIN is required to edit or add tips on the dashboard, and this feature is only available during the same business day.
