Unboxing and Contents
Step 1: Carefully unbox your Epson TM-T20III printer and ensure that all the necessary components are included in the package. These typically include the printer, power cable, interface cable (USB or Ethernet, depending on your model), roll of paper, and a user manual.
Step 2: Familiarize yourself with the printer’s physical features, such as the power button, paper feed button, and connectivity ports.
Hardware setup
- Power Connection:

Detecting Printer
Test Print
Step 1: Be sure you have the eatOS app open and are logged in. The specific user does not matter.
Step 2: From your new order screen tap the drop-down arrow ( a) or slide the setting bar down ( b):
Step 3: Select Advanced
Step 4: On the left-hand side of your screen, select Paired Printers
Step 5: Tap on Detect Device. Followed by selecting your default KOT printer, receipt printer, and custom item.
Step 6: Tap on Test Printer
Troubleshooting
Here are some steps you can take if you're printer seems to be functioning incorrectly or not at all:
- Make sure the paper is installed correctly
- Make sure the printer is on
- Check your connections, whether they be USB or RJ45 (Ethernet)
For additional info or troubleshooting, turn the printer off. After the printer is powered down, hold down the feed button and keep holding it while turning the printer back on. The printer should start printing diagnostics and information that includes the MAC address, IP info, etc.
What does an orange light indicate on my printer?
A flashing orange light on a printer can mean a few things, but it usually means a problem of some kind.
Flashing orange light
- Open the printer's cover and make sure the paper is not jammed.
- Close the printer's cover.
- Turn the printer off, then back on.
Solid orange light
- Open the printer's cover.
- Remove the roll and reload it so it feeds up from the bottom of the roll. If there is no paper left, load a new roll.
- Close the cover on the paper.
- If the light does not turn off, power the printer off and on and wait for a solid blue status light.
