Customizing Your KDS Settings
The settings module in the eatOS Kitchen Display System (KDS) allows you to customize and streamline your order management to fit your kitchen's workflow and preferences.

To access the settings, simply tap the Settings button on your KDS interface.
Below are the different settings you can adjust:
Tailor which categories of items are displayed on your KDS for streamlined order management.
Activate badge notifications for pending tasks to keep your team informed and efficient.
Alter order displays to a grid layout for visual ease and better organization.
Arrange orders horizontally across the screen to view multiple orders simultaneously.
Turn off the Instabug feature if desired to minimize distractions.
Securely log out of the KDS for user changeover and ensure your system stays secure.
Designate a primary printer for order tickets to streamline print management.
Switch between different modes such as Prep Station, Expediter, or other custom views to fit your workflow needs.
Manage your connected printers within the KDS network to ensure they are functioning correctly.
Test Printer
Run diagnostics to confirm printer functionality and troubleshoot any issues.
Detect Device
Allow the KDS to detect and connect to available printing devices for seamless setup and integration.
Filter orders based on revenue centers like dine-in or take-out for more targeted order processing.
Preferences and Settings: Access specific preferences and settings related to each revenue center.
Set up and customize modifiers that can be applied to menu items during order taking to cater to specific customer needs.
Schedule the display of certain items to ensure timely and organized preparation of orders with different cooking times.
Allow users to configure time-based status indicators for their orders. Each status is marked by a color-coded circle and accompanied by its corresponding duration.
Ensure your KDS is synced and communicating efficiently with other devices in your eatOS ecosystem to maintain operational harmony.
IP Address
Enter the IP Address for your device's network connection to ensure accurate connectivity.
Manually Sync
Trigger a manual synchronization if the automatic sync is not functioning or needs reinforcement to keep your data updated.
Status: Connect / Disconnect
Display the current KDS network status and troubleshoot connection issues as needed.
