The KDS screen has the following features - Home, History, Served, Settings, Reorder, Expanded/Collapsed and Seen/Unseen.

Its functions are as follows:

Home Screen

This is the default screen after logging in to KDS. When orders are fired up, they will appear first on this screen. The bottom left corner shows the number of orders in the queue while the right pane is the Item Summary.

History Screen

This feature is also known as the recall button. It is used to recall recently fulfilled tickets.

Served Screen

This feature is used to display all fulfilled or served tickets.

Setting Screen

The Settings screen is used whenever you want to customize or update your KDS. The image below shows the functions that you can do from this feature.

Sort by Order

This feature from KDS lets you arrange the tickets in either Ascending or Descending order. To undo and revert back to normal view simply re-tap the reorder tab.

Expanded/Collapsed Screen

This feature is about how we can view the tickets from KDS. The Expanded view is the normal ticket view where you can immediately see the items from each ticket. On the other hand, the Collapsed screen is used to minimize all tickets.

Seen/Unseen Screen

The Unseen screen will show new or unprocessed orders.

The Seen screen will show you tickets that have been seen by the kitchen staff and started preparing the items. Please note that the order status changes as the order progresses from new to serve.
