Dashboard - Workforce - Employee Schedule

The Employee Schedule feature in the eatOS dashboard allows managers to efficiently manage team shifts, streamline scheduling, and optimize workforce planning.


Accessing the Employee Schedule


  1. Log in to the eatOS Dashboard
  2. Navigate to the Workforce section in the left-hand menu.
  3. Click on Employee Schedule





Adding a Shift


To add a new shift, follow these steps:



  1. Shift Name: Enter a name for the shift.
  2. Employee Name: Select an employee from the dropdown list.
  3. Date Range: Choose the start and end date for the shift.
  4. Start Time/End Time: Enter the shift's start and end times. If the shift extends to the next day, toggle the Next Day option.
  5. Recurring Shift: Enable this option if the shift recurs. Select the relevant recurrence day and days.
  6. Allow Overtime: Toggle on to permit the employee to work overtime for this shift.
  7. Auto Clock out & Auto Break: Enable these features to automate clocking out and break times.
  8. Pay Rate: Enter the pay rate for the shift. Opt to pay at this rate per employee if required.
  9. Shift Type, Revenue Center, Job Type: Select the appropriate options from the dropdowns.
  10. Shift Notes: Add any additional notes or instructions.
  11. Add Shift: Once all fields are completed, click the Aff Shift button to save the schedule.


Viewing Schedule


The right side of the dashboard displays the schedule in a calendar view. You can toggle between Month, Week, and Day views to better understand employee scheduling.


Tips


  • Regularly review and adjust the schedule to accommodate employee availability and business needs.
  • Use the notes section to communicate any specific shift instructions directly in the schedule.
