Enabling KDS Notification
Step 1: From the POS (Point of Sale), New order screen tap the drop-down arrow (a) or slide the setting bar down (b):
Step 2: Select Restaurant.
Step 3: Choose Location Settings.
Step 4: Scroll through the external app features to find the KDS notification and toggle it on to enable the feature.
Note: Please ensure that KDS notification is enabled to activate text message alerts for customers when their order is ready.
Order Placing
Step 5: Begin to place an order, select an order type, and fill in the customer information.
Note: A customer's phone number must be entered to receive text message alerts.
Step 6: Tap on Fire or the Charge button, this will send the order to your KDS (Kitchen - Display - System)
Preparing order
Step 1: On the KDS (Kitchen Display System) screen, you'll notice that new tickets are tagged as Seen in the status box.
Step 2: To begin preparing orders, tap the Seen button on the ticket. This action changes the status to the "black bell" icon. This icon signifies that the order is currently being prepared.
Step 3: Once the orders are ready, tap the Bell icon on the ticket. This action updates the status to Served. Tapping the Served status indicates that the order is ready for serving.
Note: For customers to receive a text message when the order is ready, you will need to tap the Served button.
Step 4: Once the order has been completed and served, the customer will receive a text message that their order is ready!
