KDS - Ticket Order Display



The following article will show you how tickets from the KDS will be displayed.

Orders originating from Point-of-Sale, Kiosk, Order & Pay, and OrderOS can all be simultaneously displayed on your KDS. As orders are placed and fulfilled, their statuses will transition from new to servable. To understand the different components of ticket orders, let's explore the individual characteristics in detail.



TICKET UPPER BOX


This portion shows the Order Type such as Dine In, To-Go/Takeout, Delivery, Banquet, Pick-Up, and Curbside. See the sample image below:




TICKET NUMBER BOX


This portion shows the following:

Order Number - restarts/refreshes daily.
Status Order Color - color changes depending on the current status of the order. The colors can be modified through the Settings tab.
Transaction Time
Order Indicator - (KIOSK, Online Order, Order & Pay, POS) & Table Number (for full service/table management).




TICKET TIMER BOX


This part of the ticket order shows:

Time Lapse - this timer starts as soon as the order is fired in KDS.
Employee Initials/Code - helps identify who was logged in to the device when the order was processed.




TICKET CATEGORY BOX


This category box shows:

Menu Categories for Quick Service Restaurant (QSR)

Note: You have the option to select or deselect categories through KDS Settings and select Category Filter.




Menu Course for Full Service Restaurant (FSR)

This groups the products based on the course. Tickets will display items based on the course and can be served by course.



TICKET ITEM/ORDER BOX


The last portion of a ticket order is the Ticket Item/Order box that shows the following details:

a. Items/Products
b. Modifier (If applicable)
c. Course (for FSR)
d. Add-ons
e. Status Box/Icon
