Managing Reservations in Online Ordering

This article explains how to create, view, and manage reservations through the Reservation feature in the Online Ordering section of the eatOS dashboard


Accessing the Reservation Feature


  1. Access the eatOS dashboard and log in with your credentials.
  2. From the left-hand menu, select Online Ordering.
  3. Click on Reservation to view and manage table reservations.




Understanding the Reservation Page


The reservation page provides a centralized view of all customer reservations.

Viewing Reservations


  1. Active Tab: Displays current active reservations.



  1. Reservation Information - Each reservation includes:


  • Customer Name: Displays the customer's name.
  • Email: Email address associated with the reservation.
  • Phone: Contact number of the customer
  • Schedule: Time and date of the reservation.
  • Date Created: The date when the reservation was made.



  1. Reservation Status: If no reservations are available, it will display "No Reservations Available in Table."


Creating a New Reservation


Select + New Reservation to open the reservation form.




  1. Guest Information:


Enter the guest's details:


  • Select Guest: Choose an existing guest or enter a new one.
  • First Name/Last Name: Enter the customer's first and last names.
  • Email and Phone: Provide the customer's email and phone details.


Reservation Information:


  • Reservation Date & Time: Select the booking date and time.
  • Guest Count: Specify the number of guests.
  • Duration: Indicate the duration of the reservation in minutes.
  • Occasion: Optionally note any specific occasion.
  • Guest Note: Add any guest notes, such as dietary restrictions.


After completing the required information, click Next.



  1. Sitting Details - assign the seating location for the reservation


Required Fields


  • Revenue Center - Select the appropriate revenue center.
  • Floor - Choose the floor where the guest will be seated.
  • Area - Select the seating area.
  • Tables - Assign one or more available tables.


Once seating details have been assigned, click Next.



  1. Pre-order Details


Add products or custom items that the guest wishes to pre-order before arrival.


To add a pre-order item:


a. Select a product from the available list.

b. Or add a custom item if needed.

c. Click Next to continue.




  1. Payment details


If payment information is required for the reservation, enter the applicable payment details.


Review all information and click Next.




  1. Other Details


Provide any additional reservation information required by your operation.




Efficient Management Tips


  • Review the reservation list regularly to monitor upcoming bookings.
  • Use search and filtering options to quickly locate reservations.
  • Verify guest information before confirming reservations.
  • Record special requests and dietary restrictions in the Guest Note section.
  • Ensure assigned tables can accommodate the specified guest count.
