Product Sales Tax Report

The Tax Report provides a detailed list of taxes collected for each product sold during a selected date and time range. It displays tax amounts by order, product, and variant, making it easier to verify tax collections, reconcile transactions, and support accounting and tax reporting.


How to Access the Report


  1. From the left navigation menu, go to Analytics & Reports.
  2. Select Product Sales.
  3. Click the Tax Report tab.



Filter the Report


Use the filters at the top of the page to view data for a specific period.


  • Date Range - Select the start and end dates.
  • Time Range - Filter transactions within a specific time period.



The report refreshes based on your selected filters.



Report Summary


The summary card displays the total tax collected during the selected period.


Depending on your tax configuration, you may see:


Field

Description

Total Sales Tax

Total amount collected for the primary sales tax.

Total Tax (Custom Tax Name)

Total collected for additional tax types configured in the system



Each tax type is summarized separately for easy reconciliation.



Tax Report Details


The table lists every taxable transaction with the following information:


Column

Description

Order Number

The order associated with the sale.

Date

Date the transaction was completed.

Product

Name of the product sold.2

Variant

Product variant sold.

Tax

Tax type applied to the item. Multiple taxes may be displayed if applicable.

Total

Total tax amount collected for the item.



Export the Report


To download the report:


  1. Click the Export button in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select the available export format.



Example Use Cases


Use the Tax Report to:


  • Review taxes collected by product and order.
  • Verify multiple tax types applied to transactions.
  • Reconcile tax totals with financial records.
  • Support tax filing and compliance requirements.
  • Audit taxable transactions within a selected period.
