Complete Dashboard Restaurant Setup


Introduction


With eatOS's intuitive dashboard, you can keep your restaurant information up-to-date and accessible at a glance. From creating a restaurant schedule and predicting revenues to mapping out service areas and beyond, this tool allows you to take control of your dashboard quickly and easily.


Learn how to complete and update your restaurant information on the eatOS dashboard including your restaurant schedule, revenue center, and restaurant service area.

General


The Dashboard Restaurant General Sections provide an effortless platform to showcase all the data you've entered upon account creation.



What you can do:


Update your restaurant information, restaurant contact information, and restaurant address. The entered information will automatically be saved.



Schedule


How to add a restaurant schedule



Step 1: From your eatOS Dashboard, navigate to the Restaurant tab > select Schedule.



Step 2: Select + New Schedule



Step 3: Fill in the new schedule details and tap Save to add a new schedule

ACTION

Schedule Name*

Name of the schedule

Schedule Date*

Set the start date and end date of the schedule. The set schedule will reflect and take effect on all devices with the set start and end date

Schedule Days*

Enabling scheduled days will give you the capacity to create schedules for different days. If enabled, configure the service schedule for each day of the week

Service Name*

Enter the service name which also refers to the restaurant shift schedule

From Time*

Set the start time of the schedule

End Time*

Set the end time of the schedule

Next Day

Enable the next day if the scheduled end time falls on the following day.

Action

Tap the pencil or edit icon to edit the service schedule. Tap the trash icon to delete the service schedule


How to edit a restaurant schedule



Step 1: To edit, hover to the date created column and tap the pencil icon.



Step 2: Update the required information.


How to archive the restaurant schedule



Step 1: To archive, hover to the date created column and tap the “Archive” icon



Step 2: Select “Yes, Archived it!” to archive the schedule or select “Cancel” to go back without deleting the schedule.



How to unarchive a schedule



To unarchive, select the “Archive” tab


1a.. Click the 3-dot icon


1b. Select “Unarchive”



  • Tap “Yes, unarchived it!” to reactivate and tap “Cancel” to remain on the archive



How to permanently delete a schedule



To permanently delete a schedule, select the “Archive” tab


1a. Click the 3-dot icon


1b. Select “Permanently Delete”



  • Tap “Yes, permanently delete it!” to confirm or “Cancel” to go back to the archive



Revenue Center


Create and manage different revenue centers within your restaurant to streamline operations and create better reports.


How to Add a Revenue Center



Step 1: From your eatOS Dashboard, navigate through the Restaurant tab and select Revenue Center.



Step 2: Click + New Revenue Center



Step 3: Fill in the required information



FIELD

DESCRIPTION

Revenue Center Name*

A unique revenue center name. i.e., Bar & Grill. Asian Bar, Dining

Select Type*

Refers to the restaurant service type:

Menus*

Assign a menu to be available within the revenue center

Sections*

The assigned or selected zone areas will be applied to the revenue center

Users*

The employee manages the revenue center specifically.


How to edit a revenue center



Step 1: To edit, tap the pencil icon and update the required information.



How to archive a revenue center



Step 1: To archive, tap the “Archive” icon



Step 2: Select “Yes, Archived it!” to archive the revenue center, or select “Cancel” to go back without deleting the revenue center



How to unarchive a revenue center



Step 1: To unarchive, select the “Archive” tab


Step 2: Click the 3-dot icon and select “Unarchive”



Step 3: Tap “Yes, unarchived it!” to reactivate and tap “Cancel” to remain on the archive



How to permanently delete a revenue center



Step 1: To permanently delete, select the “Archive” tab


Step 2: Click the 3-dot icon. Select “Permanently Delete”



Step 3: Tap “Yes, permanently delete it!” to confirm or tap "Cancel" to go back to the archive



Service Area


This feature helps you streamline your restaurant operation. Note that creating a restaurant zone and allocating tables still varies from one restaurant to another - depending on the restaurant's size and concept.


How to create service areas



Step 1: Navigate to Restaurant setup


Step 2: Select Service Areas



Step 3: Select “+ New Floor”



Step 3: Enter the required information


4a. Enter the floor name


4b. Enter floor number


4c. **Tap **Add to save new floor



How to create a new service area from scratch



You can select from the pre-created service area templates or select “Add A New Area” where you can create a service area from a template, create a service area with eatOS AI, or create a service area from scratch.



Step 1: Tap the Start Now and create a service area from scratch



Step 2: Create the service area on the blank canvas


  • Add Tables



2a. Tap “Tables”


2b. Select the applicable table shape



2c. Add the tables and seats


i. Table name - enter a unique table name


ii. Table no. - enter the associated table number to be assigned


iii. No. of seats - enter the number of seats to be assigned and select the seat direction either clockwise or anti-clockwise


iv. Tap Add to add the table and seat


Repeat the steps to add more tables and seats



2d. Add dividers - note to add dividers according to your restaurant service area.




  • Tap Dividers to draw a line on the canvas


2e. Add text



  • To add text, tap the Text button


  • You can also edit the text color, and font size according to your liking



Step 3: Tap Save to save the created service area


How to edit the service area



Step 1: To edit, tap the 3 dot icon and select edit



Step 2: Update the required information


How to archive service area



Step 1: To archive, tap the “Archive” icon



Step 2: Select “Yes, Archived it!” to archive the service area, or select “Cancel” to go back without deleting the service area



How to unarchive a service area



Step 1: To unarchive, select the “Archive” tab


Step 2: Click the 3-dot icon


Step 3: Select “Unarchive”
