Adding or Creating New Categories

Active vs. Archived: You can view categories that are currently active or archived. this helps manage which menu items are available to customers



Category Information: This lists the names of categories, such as Appetizers, Bakery, Bar, etc. Each category can be customized to fit your menu needs.

Parent Category: Shows if a category is nested under a broader category. For example, "Bakery" is a parent category for several items.

Category Products: Displays the number of products listed under each category.

Date Created: Keeps record of when each category was added, aiding in menu development tracking.




Adding or Creating New Categories






Step-by-Step-Guide:

Step 1: Access Categories Section -

In your "Menu Management" section, locate and click on the "Categories" tab. This is where you'll manage and organize your different menu sections.



Step 2: Initiate Category Creation -

Click on the "+ New Category" button. This action will initiate the process of creating a new category for your menu.



Step 3: Enter Category Details -

A form will appear, prompting you to input essential information for your new category. Make sure to complete the required fields accurately. Here's a breakdown of the fields you'll encounter:



Category Image: Upload an image that represents the category visually. This can help customers quickly identify the category.
Category Color: Select a color that will be associated with this category. Color coding can help organize your menu further.
Category Name: Provide a clear and concise name for the new category. This name will be displayed on your menu.
Category Position: Enter the category position number which will reflect on the order selection
Parent Category: If this new category is a sub-category of an existing category, select the parent category from the list. This helps maintain a logical hierarchy in your menu.
Group (Modifier/Addo-Ons: If applicable, select a modifier group that is relevant to this category. Modifier groups allow the customization of items within a category.
Products: Select the specific products that should be included in this new category. These are the items that customers can order from this section.

Step 4: Save Your Changes -



Once you've filled in all the necessary details, click the "Save" button. This will finalize the creation of your new category and add it to your menu.

Congratulations! You've successfully added a new category to your menu. Your customers can now enjoy a more organized and accessible selection of items.
